Tyler became a catachumen of the Orthodox Church. He will continue his studies with the desire to be baptized and chrismated as an Orthodox Christian.

The Ladies of St. John the Divine have taken on the support of a young girl from Ethiopia, through Compassion Canada. We will be sponsoring a monthly pot luck lunch on the first Sunday of each month, the proceeds of each luncheon will go to support this young woman. Join us!

Welcoming Angela into our Faith Family - 04/28/2018
Angela Drew, wife of Syd Drew of our community, made the committment to become an Orthodox Christian. Angela says, "I am raising my children as Orthodox Christians; I want to be an Orthodox Christian, and live my life as an Orthodox Christian." We, at St. John the Divine and very happy and pleased that Angela, who has taken the name, Anne, has made this decision in her life. Welcome, Angela!

The Blessing of the Waters - 01/07/2018
On a very cold Sunday, January 7, 2018, we celebrated the Feast of the Theophany at St. John the Divine. All activities were held indoors!

On Sunday, January 7, 2018, the first Sunday of 2018, we celebrated the Feast of St. Basil (January 1st) with the blessing and distribution of St. Basil's Bread. We were gifted with 2 loaves -- one citrus, one almond -- so that those with citrus allergies could participate. Our dear friend, Anna, received the coin. May God Grant Her Good Fortune Throughout 2018!
